Name: Vlad Kyzentsov
Age: 42
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 220
Weapon(s): Spetsnaz Ballistic Knife, AK-47
Skills: Military Tier 1, Leader Tier 1, Explosives Tier 1
Weaknesses: Bad knee from a gunshot wound during his tour in Afghanistan from a firefight between Spetsnaz and Insurgents, various minor breaks from his time in Spetsnaz (Right shoulder, left arm, left foot, jaw), PTSD, and ignorance of American culture (He knows, but doesn’t care).
Frame: Tall and swarthy with muscle slowly going to fat despite his every effort to prevent it. Grey eyes with closely cropped grey hair. No facial hair, but he is missing his right earlobe (Courtesy of Afghani insurgents) and has numerous small scars peppered throughout his body. He has a pucker mark on his right knee from the bullet wound and walks with a slight limp. He also smokes heavily when stress runs high.
Personality: Stoic and serious with a small flair for the dramatic. He tends to crack stale jokes and has a sophisticated sense of sarcasm. He dislikes traitors, thieves, and cowards and, for those who knew him when he was Spetsnaz, will shoot those he deems one of these should they no longer prove useful. Soft living may have dulled his ruthless edge, however.
History: Vlad Kyznetsov was born on March 12, 1975 in Volgograd, Russia, though he adamantly believes the city’s original name of Stalingrad should be restored. He grew up as a normal Russian youth but did not truly excel in any particular area of his schooling. Once he was old enough, he joined the Soviet VDV (Essentially the Russian attacking or outbound army) where he found his calling. He quickly exceeded accepted standards and was, after a brief tour of the regular army, offered a position in the VDV Special forces, Spetsnaz. He flew through the brutal Spetsnaz training with only minor injuries and was soon shipped to the Afghanistan front during Russia’s activity in the area during the 1980s. He served for almost the entire Russian conflict there, but didn’t emerge unscathed. He managed to take a 7.62mm round to his right knee, almost ending his military career outright. He successfully made it through physical therapy and returned to the field as Russia pulled out. He served admirably despite his knee injury but did acquire a few more injuries, mostly bullet graze wounds, a few fractures, and the loss of his right earlobe and some of his hearing to an insurgent IED. He returned to Russia and was sent to various conflicts in Soviet territory. Towards the end of his service, he was trained in demolitions and then later promoted to officer status. He retired from Russian Military service the Russian equivalent of Captain (Army) and settled down in western Russia. Soon after his retirement into civilian life, however, the Soviet Union collapsed and Vlad discovered a rare opportunity before him. He decided to seize it and immigrated to the United States of America after a long waiting period for the paperwork to go through. He settled in New Orleans near the French Quarter, opened up a shop, and spent his retirement selling overpriced trinkets to tourists until the World Economy collapsed. Now he relies on his elite training and Spetsnaz issue Ballistic knife he kept as a souvineir to survive.
